Raymondville city clerk indicted on theft charge
A former Raymondville city employee has been indicted by a Willacy County grand jury on charges related to missing funds from utility payments.
Leticia Muniz Tamez, 31, was accused in the indictment of theft of services, in an amount of $2,500 to $30,000, court records state.
A consultant for the city said the matter was under investigation but would not comment on specifics.
Announcements in her case will be heard Nov. 9 in 197th state District Court. Her trial date is set for Nov. 20.
